Why I built this site

If you've ever tried to follow what the City Board actually does, you know the problem. The agenda is a stack of PDFs. The items have numbers, not names. Half of it is written in a language that assumes you already speak it. And the meeting's on a Monday night, right about when you're getting dinner on the table.

So most people don't follow along. Not because they don't care — because it's hard. That's the thing I want to change.

#What this site is

This is a plain-language home for the work of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Before each meeting, I'll post a short preview: here's what's coming up and what I'm watching. After, a recap: here's what we decided and how I voted. No jargon I don't stop to explain, no pretending every item matters equally — just the handful of things that actually touch your street, your taxes, and your day.

You'll also find Updates here — this section — where I'll write about what I'm working on between meetings and where I stand on things. That part's just me, in my own words.

#What it isn't

This isn't a campaign site, and it isn't the city's official page. The views here are my own — they don't speak for the City of Tullahoma or the rest of the Board. When you need the official record or the fine print, I'll point you straight to it.

#The part I care about most

I read every message that comes through here myself. If something in town is on your mind — a pothole, a policy, a question about what the Board is up to — send it to me. I'd genuinely rather hear from you before a vote than after.

City government works better when more people are watching and weighing in. This site is my attempt to make that easier. Tell me where it falls short, and I'll fix it.
